We began our Kids Original program in early 2023 with the idea of turning kids original stories into animated shorts in order to highlight the importance of creativity and imagination. We asked a group of fifth graders at Kelley Elementary in Carlsbad to write us a story about a robot and they did not disappoint! R.A.K.O the Robot is an inspired tale of a robot on an intergalactic adventure to save the universe.

Our team of animators had a lot of time bringing the students’ vision to life incorporating some of their drawings into the character designs and scenery. The highlight of the project was arriving at Kelley Elementary for the world premiere and seeing the looks of amazement on the faces of students.
